“Goosebumps” is a movie that includes science fiction, monster, horror and fantasy content. It also can be classified as a comedy which has conflict of interest, expectation and reality. Most of the people who like science fiction, mystery and fantasy content will enjoy this movie because this film is filled with monsters, zombies and creepy dummies. The special effects are very good as real and the monsters are looking real, so the audience would not feel that the effects are unreal and fake or it is just look like computer-generated effect. Even though this film have some part of horror to create suspense and shock of audience but it also has humor part when the characters are communicating with each other. Most of the teenagers or kids will more prefer this movie than adult because story lines of this film have some fantasy and humor content to let them imagine more and put themselves into the characters of the movie. They will imagine that they are one of the characters inside the movie to have some adventure thinking while they chased by monster and killed them. Furthermore, they will also think that they have the power of magic to create something in their real life. Some kids who have antisocial thinking will much more enjoy this film because they will put themselves into the characters as R.L. Stine to create monsters in his childhood to accompany him. In ‘Goosebumps’, it have a content consist few of structure as science fiction, monster, horror, fantasy, adventure and comedy, it is not only focus on one of structure. The content full of existing when the monster chased the characters but it also has some others structure part. As a Malaysian audience, they would not feel that this film is not interesting and waste money because of its plot contain a lot of structure together. The content have some part of horror but it also has humor part to relieve shock or nervous part. It is something feel like you pay once but watch more and worth. It also suitable for any aged-group, because of its content is not specific for some audience. For example, it is not focus on horror, so the elderly, children or some audience who afraid horror part and having heart disease can accept this film. It also suitable for family to watch, don’t have limitations for all types of audience to watch. The film consider to P13 means maybe some scenes consists elements of horror, violence and negative acts but not excessive, so viewers under 13 years old need parental or guardian while watching this movie. This movie are not consist some sex or expose part, so Malaysian audience could accept the content and message that this film brings out. This film’s content is quite fresh idea and the storyline is outstanding, it combines few items inside and new concept that you never watch before.
