In the passage Is Google Making Us Stupid?, author Nicholas Carr states, "When I mention my troubles with reading to friends and acquaintances -- literary types, most of them -- many say they're having similar experiences." He thinks he was smarter before he used Google, and that it made him less intelligent. He said that before there was Google, people had to do their research from reading books. Since there is new technology in the world, there's a new way of learning that older people aren't used to. That because it is easier to learn new things at a young age, which is why today's young adults don't have a hard time figuring out new technology. Young adults aren't the ones losing any intelligence because of Google. They still have to read the links and articles that we find on Google the same way that people will read out of a book; reading is still reading. Also, they've had Google at a young age, which gives them the advantage of having access to so much information at a young age. Google is negatively affecting older generations due to their lack of evolving; the impact it's having on young adults is positive. Thanks to all of the new features of technology, it has become easier to complete simple tasks; on the contrary, there are negative impacts as well. For example, people are now able to use filters, draw, and crop photos, changing a photo from its original look. Changing a photo from what it originally was can be negative and positive. It can be positive because people have the control to change photos to make them look better than the original. It can become negative when someone attempts to completely change how the original photos look.
