A villainous person can annihilate everything and everyone on their path. It takes a lot of power and assistant form many people to stop them. In our modern society that’s very difficult to likely happen in some cases the mind cause for certain humans to react differently in which leads to conflict. The author of the Crucible; Arthur Miller shows how the human mind behaves with manipulation and deceit for their own personal gain which causes conflict within the town, this ignites the spark to lead into the Salem witch trials and also lead to the mass spread paranoia in the town. Arthur Miller how a malevolent being can cause so much obliteration within a small town. Also how the malevolent being can have so many followers on their side to break the fabric of society causing mass wide paranoia. But there is always going to be a pure force going against that being in which is the justice system because they could’ve easy left it alone but not the justice system at the time put up a fight and went against these so called witches. If the justice system ignored the situation the people were going to be a bunch of toads being burned in a pot defenseless leading the towns to their ultimate demise. We see the devil as an unholy, malignant, obscene creature that influences the weak minded to do his bidding. In our eyes a demonic presence like the devil is out for pure destruction and evil, so the use of witch craft is like doing the devils work. In a small town like Salem where it’s all about religion the black arts is forbidden and a criminal crime that results in death by fire or by hanging. Arthur Miller the author of the Crucible demonstrates how a simple lie leads to an outbreak of paranoia and terror in the feeble minded. He shows how the fear of the unknown takes control the lives of the accused innocent girls and how a young craven child can manipulate and break the will to her every whim. Arthur Miller means to displays the life in colonial American showing how fear spreads and engulfed life causing inhumane actions to take place leading to the death of innocent young women. Arthur Miller’s techniques are the use of figurative language, the use of logical fallacy like ad hominems or a curricular argument. He conveys these techniques through his writing and the visuals he displays in our minds upon reading his work. From reading the Crucible their society was mostly based on religion and how their was rules to abide by unlike in our society because it doesn’t matter if you do go to church or if you have a religion and now we still have rules but a more developed mind and society
