In the epic Beowulf, several themes are clear, however the theme of Good vs. Evil is most represented. Not only do characters such as Beowulf and Grendel reflect this theme, but others aspects of the epic do as well. Other aspects include Herot and Grendel’s cave. Under further analyzation, it becomes clear that an assortment of aspects in the epic can be placed within this theme. One way the “Good” is represented in the Anglo-Saxons society is by seeing how Beowulf decided to help the Danes with the evil monster that was terrorizing the people.
