While there are many roles that a supervisor plays, the most important one is being a leader that can build up a team of high performers over a short period. My name is Constance Untalan, and I 'm the new supervisor, I just wanted to bring you all together today to introduce myself, and to familiarize myself with each of you while getting to know your strengths and weaknesses. Let 's begin with myself I have over twenty years experience in the customer service field, I gained most of my experience through my education where I obtain my Bachelor 's Degree in Management. Over the next 30 days, he 'll be working with me side by side as I teach him the in 's and out 's of being a supervisor, as we work at molding the rest of our team. He 'll be given the title of team leader, as he will help other team members get trained on new tasks, customer service techniques, and how to answer phones, and how to apply their customer service skills. Together we will begin the first phase of our initial training sessions to get all team members all of the same page, as we set the stage for their comfort zones, encourage participation, build their trust up with one another, and open up the door to active listening to help in clarification of their disagreements, or miss-understandings of our purpose. These team members include Sally, Bob, Fran, Steve and Jane that will take on new challenges including training, and help them to set their short term and long-term goals. At this time I 'll start the (storming stage), where I 'll start teaming up the rest of my team with each other. Like for instance, starting with Steve and Bob where I 'll introduce them to additional assignments to take on, so they continue to be motivated and happy. They 'll continue their training for two weeks, as they work together and then they will be re-evaluated to their progress. The reason I choose them to work together on this task, is because I feel they needed some more direction and responsibilities as I see they both seem to be loosing interests. At this point I would like Fran and Sally to team up, so I can may go over the importance of team players and why its important to work together. There training will be for two weeks, for each task I mentioned above, then they 'll report back to me of their finding and their overall outcome (the norming stage). After Sally 's two week training with Fran, I 'm going to move her on to taking on some management courses to guide her in the direction of management for the remainder of her thiry days. Since Jane is currently taking on some challenges with her schooling, I would like to currently leave her in her current position. However, I 'd like to offer her tuition reimbursements to which she may apply for so she may have less worries at
