“Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road. Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go”. Funny enough, these were the very first lyrics in the song and they happened to also describe the beginnings of my eighth grade. To me, the fork stuck in the road can be an image of both the challenges and the decisions that I’ve gone through this year. Throughout the year, I came across many more forks in the road; how can I cheer this person up? How do I avoid gossip, and different perspectives? How do I get my group to cooperate on group assignments? As said in the lyrics, as time goes by, you get better and better at navigating obstacles.

You don’t know what’s going to happen, you just have to let whatever happens to happen. “It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it is right. I hope you had the time of your life”. You´re never going to know what’s going to happen to you, but in the end it’s all going to be fine. It’s all going to happen for the best. At times you might think that everything is miserable. Everything is falling apart on you, but no. It’s not. Everything happened to teach you a lesson and learn from your experiences.
