“I don’t believe in psychology. I believe in good moves.” Bobby Fischer’s quote about chess is a perfectly acceptable to represent “Geri’s Game.” Pixars short film “Geri’s Game,” represents that skill, occasionally, can beat talent. In this situation, the old man’s “good move” was pretending to have a heart attack and resorting to trickery to be triumphant.
Ordinarily, a chess game requires two people participating. In Pixar’s short film “Geri’s Game,” an elderly gentleman finds enjoyment in competing against himself for a final prize. “Geri's Game,” demonstrates that creativeness and craftiness trump skill, even in a chess match.
