Good grades seem to be all we want now. The pressure around us to receive the good grades are not from learning anymore to be justified to memorize the material for the time being for the high remarks. The causes of the pressure is all around us coming from our peers, parents and society. Expectations as a student can put pressure on earning good grades to be admitted into a good college from around but also ourselves. – Still working on introduction. Expectations causes pressure coming from those around and ourselves. The expectation to excel from our family is one of the strongest cause. College is what we have been waiting for ever since entering high school. College changes a person to where they want to go and become. College has the pressure of where you wish and want to be accepted to. Being rejected is the worst part of college decision as this brings down your self-esteem to that you did not fit in or become that college. An acceptance into college and which college says much about the student and their level of success. Many students pride themselves in where they are accepted. Their acceptance create an ego on their worth and where they end up going. The desire of acceptance to a prestigious college from the society ideal to bring fame and fortune as a granted. Where chosen to go plays a role in who we are and to be. The pressure of college creates expectation for both the parents and student. The parents see the money going into the school as an education to make the student someone serving the community. The grades reflect the work students put in. Money plays a role as this pays for the education and parents expect the best for what they pay. Once entering college, the atmosphere builds as everyone is equal as being the top or bottom or in between of the graduating class. This creates pressure to excel as everyone is equal and less difference between. There is no separation between the students and need ways to excel beyond school work. Internships and extracurricular activities build the individual on their experience beyond other classmates for the job or promotion. Our extracurricular activities are sports, clubs and even job with maintaining a high GPA. In high school and college looks for everything in us to be them. College creates our future to who we are with the major we chose to pursue. Picking a major is not easy as many decide to follow their heart or bank account. Major decides based on how tough and passionate the student is to work hard for the grades and
