Good Class Pets Analysis

Decent Essays
I have chosen three options that I think would be good class pets. My three choices for the class pet is a hedgehog, turtle, or lizard. I think they will all be fairly good class pets and easy to take care of. They are all cheap besides the hedgehog which can range from 100 dollars to 200 dollars. I think they will all be good pets for your class and will be easy to take care of.
The hedgehog being the most expensive option but probably the most fun. They can be played with but require caution due to the spines on the animal, as long as you don’t threaten the animal they are usually fine. They love to eat so you need to play with them and exercise them otherwise they will gain weight. They eat dry or wet hedgehog food and like bugs as treats. Their cages require cleaning and they will not cause a disruption because they are nocturnal for the most part. This is why I think they would be a good class pet.

A full grown turtle can be up to 12 inches. They do need a pretty specialized cage with the basics being a heat lamp, water filtration, water heater, basking dock and somewhere they can swim. They are not very good to play with but they are fun to watch. Juveniles need to be fed daily but adults can be fed every other day. They are omnivores that eat worms and finely chopped meat for protein but eat fruit and lettuce for most of their diet. They require cleaning in their cage. They do require work and are not effortless to take care of, but if you can they can be

For my endangered species project I chose the coluber constrictor foxii also know as the blue racer snake. I chose this endangered animal because there are very few of them and it is a beautiful species. One of the biggest reasons this animal is endangered is because they are a very docile snake that would rather flee then flight. There are many organizations trying to save this species and others like it. https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/556687203910425502/?lp=true…

] Do you think animals are intelligent? Using the two articles “Animal Snoops” and “How smart are animals” I can infer that animals are intelligent. I think this because in the article “Animal Snoops”, it says that animals eavesdrop on their prey so they can get their food. I also think that animals are intelligent because in the article “How smart are animals” it says that they can learn to solve a problem using motions in front of them. That's two things that support my statement that animals are very intelligent.…

In his memoir With The Old Breed, E.B Sledge grants his readers access into his mind, where the battles of Peleliu and Okinawa continue to wage on in memory. Sledge gives a first-hand account of how 'child innocence is lost(156), when boys between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five are collectively crafted by war1. The purpose of this discussion is to analyze With The Old Breed, and comment on the nature of war in terms of the Pacific theatre, specifically Peleliu and Okinawa. Although war was explicitly waged against the Japanese forces, inherent in this memoir is the notion that war was also waged against one's self, and the environment. Sledge describes his time in the Pacific as one where only the dead were safe, and those who had gotten a million dollar wound were lucky2 (125).…

Oppression during modern America is something that is inevitably present throughout the lives of American inhabitants. The United States is not close, whatsoever, to being classified as a virtuous nation. We as a nation oppress not only the poor, but also the weak, the homeless, and strangers, but many people do not realize how frequent it occurs in everyday life. Furthermore, most Americans are unaware to the oppression we cause in other countries, especially to the underprivileged nations with our trade, free enterprise, and wealthy lifestyles. In comparison, I noticed that there was an overall oppression problem throughout every reading, even though they may be different examples of oppression.…

Both dog and cats are great to cuddle with. Dog lovers and cat lovers are very similar compared to those who skip the dogs and cats and head straight for the reptiles. People who choose to have a reptile as a pet tend to be more independent than all other pet owners. Dog and cat owners have more of that compassion and affectionate need than those who do not own a cat nor a dog. They also tend to be more dependent on other people and their pets for things such as love, trust, and security.…
