Human nature is bad why? Well, the seven deadly sins, greed, envy, lust, pride, wrath, sloth, and gluttony, are a huge part of it. That is, what I am basing this hypothesis on.

So, in the book, there are many things that show human nature is evil. At the beginning of the book they, the boys, had crashed into the island. Piggy, later on, said that they were on fire, “‘ When we was coming down I looked through one of them windows. I saw the other part of the plane. There were flames coming out of it.’” (pg. 5) Also on page 5 it talks about how they were attacked, “‘We was attacked!’”. How does this tie into human nature is evil. Well, these lines point to there was a war going on. Not a specific war. A person, since technology wasn’t as big and advanced then, had shot down that plane. Not knowing who or what is on it.
