Gone Film Critique The film Gone is directed by James Puckett. The film is about two friends, Eric and Tommy, have had a rough friendship. Jimmy ends up taking his own life and Eric has a lot of built up anger towards the other. Eric goes to talk to Jimmy’s grave, where they discuss their problems even though it is too late. The film had a lot of downfalls such as cinematography, lighting and dialogue.
The cinematography was not able to help keep the storyline realistic. The camera was shaky throughout the whole film. When the camera is on Jimmy the unstableness is very clear. A way to improve is by stabilizing the camera by putting it on a stand instead of holding it. The camera’s angle on the grave stone reveals a partial date that does not match the boy playing Jimmy’s age. When Eric looks at Jimmy’s grave the partial date 192 is revealed, and also the title “father” is engraved in the stone. A way to improve is to try to find a grave stone closer to Jimmy’s actual age or change the character’s name so it fits the stones name better. Jimmy’s bruising around his neck does not completely wrap around his entire neck. When the camera is behind Jimmy you are able to see the back of his neck is clear. Try adding bruising all around his neck to really make that clear to the audience he is dead and took his own life. The second

The dialogue is a little over acted in the beginning. When Jimmy looks up and says “Ohh, Hey Eric” it is clear that Jimmy is expecting Eric to walk up when it should be unexpected. Try changing the scene of first meeting again dialogue. The character Eric is too intense during his argument with Jimmy. Eric over acts the anger to the point where he doesn’t know what to do with his hands. Rehearse the scene less to make feel more realistic. During Jimmy’s part of the argument he under acts it. He is very calm and nonchalant about the whole argument where Eric is so

I doubt that Alex got pregnen, if she was obssesed with Dan she could have made everything up. I don't belive Dan seen as a hero at the end of the movie because it has his wife the one that had the last shot, literally in the theatrical ending and figuratevly in the orginal ending.…

Screenplay Critique #2 When you imagine different films in different genres, there are a whole list of different assumptions that audiences expect from each genre. After watching the movie “Sicko” by Michael Moore and reading Understanding American Politics by Stephen Brooks I seem to be baffled about what a lot of foreigners are when referring to American politics and society. One being, our government and how hypocritical they are for instance, The Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement And Modernization Act passed in 2003, In “Sicko”, the legislation allowed drug companies the freedom to charge what they deemed fit. Looking at it from every angle possible still would not explain how that was to benefit anyone but, the drug industry. Furthermore, how is it that America is on the other side when it comes to health care and social programs, In “Sicko” countries: Canada, France, Britain, and Cuba have…
