The 2014 David Fincher film Gone Girl is based on the 2012 novel Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Gone Girl is about a husband, Nick Dunne, who is now suspected of killing his wife Amy Dune and now that his innocence is being question; the community and world now turns their attention on him. The movie has a combination of mystery, thriller and horror. Gone Girl did not deviate from the form of the genres. For example, the mystery of what happened to Amy Dunne and the horror of the crime scene that was found created a sense of suspicion where the viewer thought that maybe a husband could really kill his wife.
