On 01/25/16 at 15:11 hours, Reporting Officer (R/O) Babczak #293 and Officer Sirgedas #202 responded to 1924 S. 50th Ct. for a Residential Burglary. Upon arrival, R/O spoke with Jesus Gomez Jr. DOB:08/23/98. Gomez Jr. related that he received a text message from his mother, Leticia Ayala DOB:03/23/72, at approximately 13:00 hours saying that someone broke into their house. Ayala left the residence because she had to go to work. Gomez Jr. was at school when he got the message and arrived at the house at approximately 15:00 hours. Gomez Jr. noticed that the gate on the south side of the house was opened. The door on the S/W side of the house was open and the door to the main level of the house was open. Gomez Jr. said one window on the west side of the house was opened and Gomez Jr. related that all of the doors and windows were closed when they left the house at 08:00 hours on 01/25/16. …show more content…

Gomez Jr. related that they moved items and closed the doors before R/O's arrival, compromising the integrity of the crime scene. R/O did not observe any signs of forced entry on any of the doors or windows and R/O did not observe any signs of latent prints on the doors or windows. R/O observed that the mothers room was messy with her drawers to her dressers halfway open and there was a box of jewelry laid out on the bed. The drawers for the dresser in Gomez Jr's room were halfway open and appeared that they have been searched
