Potential variables in testing distance on golf balls as a result of dimple depth and dimple shape that need to be controlled are the type of golf ball, their construction, the type of golf club, the type of swing used, the tee height, wind, and the turf hit off of. In order to take care of the golf ball construction and type of golf ball, I will do extensive research on each ball. I will conduct my experiment at an indoor golf simulator where they can measure the trajectory of my shot, this will take care of accurately measuring how far the ball will go and controlling environmental factors.
