In Lakton, the north-east would be considered a “younger community”. Both of the schools were located nearby to one another because typically, parents don’t prefer to move until their children have gone off to college. This area has a relatively higher residential density because when young people begin their own lives and look for places to live, they are less likely to look into buying detached homes over single- or double-bedroom residences like townhouses or apartments. As they save up and grow older, they will then look for houses with the white-picket fence where the grandchildren can come over and play on the tire swing. This is why the larger houses and detached homes are across town, away from the schools.…

Our Town is clearly a representation - and largely a celebration - of small-town American life. Nearly every character in the play love’s Grover's Corners, even as many of them acknowledge its small-mindedness and dullness. Its sleepy simplicity, in fact, is its major point of attraction for many characters. Dr. Gibbs, for instance, who refuses to travel, thus cultivates his ignorance of life outside of Grover's Corners in order to remain content within it; his son, too, decides not to go away to college because everything he could want is available at home. Of course this staunchly conservative position creates some of the major problems in the play.…

Just a few lots to the west of the two Jennings’ farm was the Pelham branch of the Quaker’s the oldest such branch in Canada. The Friends, as they call their members settled in the Niagara region in 1786 many from New Jersey in Sussex County, the same county in which Hannah was born. As Quaker’s they disavowed anything to do with violence and hence took no active part in the Revolutionary War. This stance of neutrality had members suffer double taxation and the loss of some civil rights – and not just during the war, for many sanctions continued after the war as well. Many Friends could see the advantage of moving north and, not only did so many do so, the Quakers helped many British fugitives leave New Jersey or Pennsylvania for Niagara.…

Waldorf schooling is the one of the best choice for parents wanting their children to be children in a warm, welcoming, loving environment with a home feel to the learning environment the children are in. Our school is one of the few schools that fully understand children ages 2-5 do not need to be pressured to develop faster than their own personal development.
