Improved Essays
A family of bears was disturbed when they found many of their possessions lost or damaged. This was due to a trespassing incident from a girl named Goldilocks. Goldilocks had eaten porridge that was in possession of the bears, and she had also broken a chair. The bears had received the loss in this incident as Goldilocks had broken into their house and damaged such items. The loss was received, with the privacy of the family of bears disturbed, and the damages of the possessions of the house. The causes of loss is due to Goldilocks’ decision to trespass. Goldilocks had knocked on the door of the family’s house. However, she had become a trespasser when no one had answer, and she decided to walk right in. She will be sued for special damages at the cost of $636.42. This is due to the porridge that Goldilocks had eaten was a premium-style porridge that is only obtainable from the other side of the forest. As mother and father bear must travel to the same location to pick up the porridge, the cost of the porridge comes to $221.51. Other than the porridge, the chair that Goldilocks had broken was also very rare as it had been hand crafted by dwarves. This results in the chair being very high quality and very hard to get made once again. This is why Goldilocks must pay another $414.91, for the damages caused to the chair. This total of special damages comes to $636.42. Along with special damages, general damages were also caused to the family of bears. As Goldilocks had violated their privacy, the family of bears seem to be quite scared to leave their house alone. They seem to expect another trespasser if they leave their house. This is especially damaging to baby bear as he had not expected trespassing and a break-in to occur at his house. This incident will leave him very scared and frightened for the future of living in his parents house, as well as when he moves out and lived by himself. Baby bear will always have the memory of the incident in which a trespasser had broken in. Due to this level of emotional suffering, Goldilocks must pay $10,000.00 in general
