Golden State Warriors 2014-15 Record: 67-15, 1st in Pacific Division, 1st in Western Conference
Golden State Warriors 2014-15 MVP: Steph Curry - 23.8 ppg (#6), 7.7 apg (#6), 286 3ptm (NBA record), 2.0 spg (#4)
Three Things I Think I Know About The Golden State Warriors:
I would pay to watch the Warriors practice
The Golden State Warriors currently employ the following: the NBA's single-season record holder for most made 3-pointers (286, Steph Curry); the NBA's record holder for most point in a single quarter (37, Klay Thompson); the NBA's career leader in 3PT % (45.4%, Steve Kerr); and the NBA's career leader in FT% (90.4%, Steve Nash - recently hired as Player Development Consultant). Draymond, while highly entertaining, has a mouth that won't quit. Curry is already up to his show-boating tricks. Two of their three best players (Green & Thompson) were born in the 90's. They're a young squad that will remind everyone they're the champs. However, the target is already painted on their collective backs. Now is not the time to be over-confident. It's not enough that Curry hits 3-4 three-pointers PER GAME, he drains them with ridiculous efficiency (#3 in 3PT FG% last season). It's not enough that Curry breaks ankles on the offensive end, he also garnered more steals than anyone in the league last season. The Warriors, while extremely deep, will live and die on how Curry performs. In their two Finals losses against the Cavs, Matthew Dellavedova was miraculously able to slow him down. The reigning MVP is undoubtedly the most important player for the defending champs, and will continue to be this season.
Season Defining question:
Can Draymond Green improve his 3-point
