Canine obesity is very serious and important, but sadly golden retriever is one of the top ten dog breeds most prone to obesity. (Finlay, K. (2014, July 21). The 10 Dog Breeds Most Prone to Obesity) According to a survey and study form Association for pet obesity prevention, about 62.7% golden retriever have overweight and obese problem. Also, over 20% Golden Retrievers are more overweight than national average in US. (Ward, E., & Peterson, M. (Eds.). (2013). 2012 National Pet Obesity Survey Results)
