Golden Dawn is a far right party that is located Greece. The history of Golden Dawn may help the audience understand how we got to this point. Based on the electoral and economic data, the reader can see who is voting and supporting this party and what is happening in their economy that could cause people to vote this way. The understanding of the party platform will increase the grasp of the principles Golden Dawn supports. Interpreting this information will assist in creating a hypothesis determining what will happen to this party in the future. In 1980, Nikolaos Michaloliakos and supporters created a magazine. While he was in jail, he met rulers of the Greek military junta, which helped create the groundwork for Golden Dawn. The magazine they started stopped being published in 1984 due to the fact that Michaloliakos joined the National Political Union. Whenever he became part of the union, he took over the youth leadership. Also, in 1985, Nikolaos Michaloliakos left the National Political Union to establish Golden Dawn. Golden Dawn became a valid political party in the year of 1993. About 30 of the supporters went to the Athens University of Economics and Business and assaulted several of the universities students. The reason for the attack was due to the naming dispute of Macedonia. In the same time period, gangs started to arrive under the rule of Giannis Giannopoulous. Golden dawn continued to progress and gain new members after these episodes. In 1994, Golden Dawn competed in the European Parliament election, receiving over 7,000 votes. Many of the Golden Dawn representatives fought in the Greek Volunteer Guard during the Bosnian War. It is believed that some of these supporters only fought due to the fact that they are
