The Kitchen Aid 12-Cup Glass Carafe Coffee maker is a quick and user friendly machine that allows the user to make a delicious cup of coffee. The machine weighs 2.95 kg. It has a width of 8 inches, height of 14 inches and a depth of 11.50 inches. There are seven main components of this coffee maker: the gold tone filter, the water filter, the glass carafe lid, the glass carafe, the water tank, the seal, and the brew basket. (Figure 1). The machine also has a programmable clock.

The main focus of this technical description is the gold tone filter. A gold tone filter is a reusable coffee filter. The purpose of the gold tone filter is to eliminate the use of paper filters. Gold tone filters provide a much richer taste coffee compared to paper
