I have a better advantage than others because of the experience of attending Middle College. For me being a doctor isn’t about the money, but the chance to help someone have a longer and healthier life. Even if it’s just two years taken off my college career it means I have two more years of helping people as a doctor. I have more time to go out into the world and help as many people as I can.
Attending Middle College is very stressful. From having the stress of knowing you go to a college, to the late nights studying for finals. There’s also time management, you try to get all the work done, but the work is nonstop and keeps coming. If you can’t manage your time right you fall behind and it feels like you never will catch up. Although, it is hard at times I have realized if I want to do anything with my life I have to take all life’s challenges head on. If I can power through all of this at a young age there is nothing stopping me from achieving my goals.
To handle all of these challenges of going to Middle College I want to study harder than before. I have gotten good grades, but I am going to push myself harder so I get all A’s in my college classes this year. I will try not to over think my work because when that happens the work tends to come out wrong. Also, stop procrastination like I have done before and manage my time wisely so I never get behind in my

High school is a staple of American culture. Popular culture is littered with high school imagery: cheerleaders at the homecoming game, senior prom, and finally, graduation. It is a major time of growth for adolescents and serves as a stepping stone into the adult world, giving students the skills and experiences needed to be successful later in life. However our perception of high school and the ‘high school experience’ is rapidly changing as alternatives to traditional schooling appear. An excellent example of this is an emerging program commonly referred to as ‘early college high school’, a duel enrollment program that allows high school students to receive an associate’s degree while earning their high school diploma.…

Someone once said, "Suffer the pain of discipline or suffer the pain of regret." This essentially means that discipline will be difficult to manage but it’s a finer choice than regretting your decisions later on. School can be difficult, but the pain of the self-command and devotion will get you much further in your education than lackadaisical and deprecate. Transitioning from middle school to high school is scary enough, not to mention finding out that your best friends won’t be attending that same school adds a little pressure on a pre-teen who, for the most part is really shy. When I first started high school I had a cousin who was a year older than me, she showed me around school and I ended up hanging out with her and her friends for a few months. Then she introduced me to some of her newer friends who were in the same grade as me. They were nice people and they got me through the first year of high school, but I never felt like I belonged to “their group”.…
