College is an important step in many lives. In college, students decide what career they want to pursue for the rest of their life, although some change their mind. I plan on going to college and graduating with a bachelors or masters. But the way I see my plan going most likely will not be exactly how it goes. The top risks where I could go wrong is picking a college or career, getting bad ACT or SAT scores, and not getting scholarships.

To me, the first step of going to college would be to pick a particular career. Sometimes I’m unsure of my career but I know what field I want to go in. The engineer and medical field interest me, therefore I am looking at colleges that have good engineering and medical programs. I am keeping my options open but I am leaning towards going to Texas Tech university. I looked at the admission requirements and I think I have a good chance of being accepted. For the position I am in, all I have to do is write an essay and take the ACT and SAT tests. The required ACT and SAT scores are not hard to achieve.

I have already signed up to take my SAT, which is considered to be the hardest of the two tests. The SAT is more based on english subjects which I am not particularly great in, but that is not the field I am

I can change my classes and degree while I am in college, so TTU is the best choice for me. There are other universities that have both degrees, and I will still apply to them. As of right now, I have a better chance getting into TTU than any other college. Texas Tech is a state college so it is more affordable than a private college. I will be lucky if I do not run into financial problems while attending Tech throughout my time there. I need to plan how I will be eating and where I will be staying and how much those will cost. If I cannot afford to go to college, I will just have to save up enough
