There are many reasons why someone would choose to attend college or not. When thinking about making this decision there are many other aspects you have to take into account. For example money ,how you'll balance your income ,what college you want to got to and deciding whether or not u can handle a college lifestyle. Self building finding out what's your future goals for yourself and how you'll accomplish them. Applying and attending college may work for some people but may not for others. What most student and college applicants don't realize is that high school and college involve to different levels of work ethic. There are teachers and then there are professors, yes a professor's expectations are way higher. In high school there are usually less students meaning it is much easier to get to know each student personally, well that's not the case in college.Writer David Coley writes,”as a rule instructors assume that students have already learned to keep up with their assignments and can be trusted to complete course work without constant reminders”. One can see they are expecting maturity and self reliance way more than high school

I interviewed my math teacher , Mr. St Lawrence ,i did this so i could see the point of view of someone who went to college. When asked was college as stressful as they made it seem in high school St Lawrence responded, “yes at first mostly because i wasn't prepared , overwhelmed so i came home and i worked part time to better myself”. Showing that someone can think they're ready for college and when they get there it can be the total opposite and become overall very stressful , and for many the only way to get themselves back on track will mean leaving college becoming more prepared for when they make a second attempt. This helped because St Lawrence started in iona college and ended his education at brooklyn
