Should going to college become totally free in the near future, if would greatly benefit the United States as a whole. With more people able to seek a higher education, the chances of creating a better life without crippling yourself financially go through the roof. It can be argued though that without the money coming in from tuition cost colleges and universities would become solely funded from government taxes. And with the united states already being roughly $18 trillion dollars in debt as it stand the outlook doesn’t look bright.
