Going To College And Earning A Degree Benefits Essay

Decent Essays
Each year thousands of high school graduates try to decide whether or not they should go to college to get their degree or decide to not go. Many think that going to college and earning a degree will offer better jobs, others think that going to college isn’t worth the expense. In my opinion I think that a college education is worth the expense.
The job that you’re looking for may offer a better pay than most jobs. Also, when searching for a job against other people, most jobs look for a person who has a college education that they will be able to fall back on. Having a college education can also increase your job pay and has 2 years as much pay as a high school diploma. You also get more job opportunities if you do go to college, you’ll be able to have a job with good pay and you will be able to provide for yourself and family without having financial issues. Studies show that the unemployment rate for college graduates is lower at 4.5% compared to the high school graduate that has a higher unemployment rate that is at 11.3%. If you do have a college education, then it is less physically demanding and does not require jobs that are more hardworking.

Most “white collared” jobs require lots of training, that’s why white collared jobs pay more than your average every day job. Also when you do have the proper training for your job, you can set up your own business and make more money than people who do work for a business. When you do graduate college, you can always go back and learn more training so you can get more money. If your “dream job” doesn’t work out for you then if you have a degree you can take up a job that you already earned a degree in if you didn’t like how your dream job turned
