Going into a job evaluation, Andrea inquired about options to move forward in the company. The supervisor went through a list of questions regarding Andrea’s personal life, career history, academic strengths and areas in learning that she may have weaknesses in. The idea of for Andrea to realize where she stands in life and what she is looking for goals. In addition, there will be a closer view of her personality showing she is a leader and able to take over the responsibility of a higher position within the company. The supervisor gave her a personality test this is a list of questions touching on areas of reaction in situations. However, she will also have to choose the path she wishes to take on her own. They can simply guide her in the area self a self-assessment as the personality testing. The supervisor will be identifying the possibility to move forward in the company in the areas of methods and resources available from the employer in addition to the route; she is able to take it in on her own. This is also known as development activity 's identification. The ending stage of assistance in development in the workplace is to make the choice to take the step for the future placing the plan on paper and start working in the forms of education and goals. There will be periodical meetings with the supervisor in the areas of progress and alteration that need to be made. There will be an evaluation and checking on the success or areas that need attention. Once the door is open, and she is able to discover that there is more to life and position in companies than she sees will be a big incentive. She will find that learning in itself is a way to grow individually there is always something out there to find a personal did not know. The skill of researching, finding new topics, and items to improve the ways of life in a general sense is a will to want to keep learning. There is not a way to possible know everything in the world. Therefore, the need to learn is always there. In the event, she does not see the learning advantage in the adult education world. Having Andrea give presentations, classes, lead meeting items that require digging for the best possible solution and being able to convert an idea into a teaching tool is an eye opener to many individuals to want more knowledge. There are many skills that are learned for the purpose of work related training and education that is also helpful in life as well. The skills to solve problems clam one’s self and others, be the mediator in conflict, or the idea of explaining how to do a task in great and lax details. There is a personal gratification to perusing lifelong learning as the human mind becomes more creative, flexible, and imaginative in their ways of approaches, thinking, and development as an educated
