1. What product the company produces and how
Apple producing mobile phones and computers, the pollution happened as the electronic producer. Korean company LG made LCD Panels, Samsung made Batteries, and SK Hynix made Chipset. Taiwan company TSMC made DRAM & Flash Memory of the iPhone. A French-Italian company STMicroelecronics produced the Gyroscope in iPhone. 85% of all are assembled in China Foxconn.
2. What externalities exist in the production of their good/service
There are both positive externality (international) and negative externality (pollution in the other countries, i.e. China)

74% less aluminum use on Mac Pro today than the previous design, also the 21.5 inch iMac saves 68% material than the first iMac. Apple also recycle materials, they set up recycling programs in 99% of the countries where sell Apple products and already reached 85% of the total weight of the Apple products sold 7 years earlier since 2010. There is a data in 2014 that how much material Apple recycled on Apple’s website. It shows recycled 11,800 tons of steel, 5965 tons of plastics, 5749 tons of glass and etc. Since 1994 more than 508 million pounds of equipment has diverted from landfills by Apple.
7. Whether or not you think their plan of attack is truly sustainable, or is simply a public relations act or green washing
I think Apple is doing a green washing. Foxconn and the others electronic factories make a lot pollution in China, but Apple obviously avoid this problem and focus on other cheaper and easier ways to show their effort on protecting environment. They are double standard and did not shows the pollution they did on their official website.
8. Suggestions as to how to more effectively reach their environmental goals (if possible). They should pay more on help the assembly factories to reduce the heavy-metal in the wastewater, this can improve the environment where labor works and keep them stay
