Gogirl or Blogger is blogging about her everyday running to run the 10K. First, she started off by walking then running 6.2 miles until her ankles hurt and had to be healed by the doctor with a go-ahead to work out and tighten her muscles to run the 10K. Then, after she healed, she was able to run again but she had to run over huge hills but she pushed her limits to get over it and reach her goal and she also stretched so that she is ready fro the next practice run. She also took a day off which she called it “rest day” since she knew why all of the runners had to rest before the race because when she started her run now,her calves felt tight and achy making an obstacle for her to finish her practice run and is done with it.She took some days

While the 541,000 marathon finishers within the US all come from different backgrounds and have distinct differences, they are frighteningly similar in many aspects of their lives. Take for instance the level of training and determination each marathon runner has. Six out of the seven days every week for at least a couple months, they spend their days in the gym and out on the trails. One must build a body of muscle in order to complete the lengthy race – as is demonstrated by the father-son duo of Ken and Will Satre. Rain streamed through my hair and down my body. Soaked from warming up in the downpour, runners stood at the starting line—Not all as excited as me. Any mention of the word “essay” in an Archmere English class usually results in groans of feigned enthusiasm as students begin to ponder the daunting task ahead of them. Only a week or two and several drafts later, they submit their completed essays and pray for the mercy of their English teachers. After school at practice, cross-country runners hear the word “race,” and a similar response ensues. Every practice thereafter, whether a hard workout or a long run, counts toward their performance about a week later on race day. English students may not find themselves dripping with sweat after finishing their essays, but they encounter the same test of stamina that cross-country runners face during a race, from the moment they begin brainstorming…
