Imperial Japan declares war against United States by launching a surprise military air strike against United State Naval Base at Pearl Harbor. United States immediately prepare for war and joined the Allied Forces and on August 6, 1945 an atomic bomb was dropped and devastated the Japanese city of Hiroshima. However, Japanese War Council was not convinced to accept surrender. On August 9, 1945 a second atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki and this time it was able to subdue Japanese War Council decision and ultimately on August 15, 1945 Imperial Japan announced their surrender. As a result, nine years later (1954) the first Japanese Godzilla movie Gojira was created. As we analyze the time-lapse as this historical event transpire, and the time of the movie Gojira was created; we could clearly see that there is a very big correlation between the two as if the director/producer of Gojira was trying to recapture this historical destruction in motion picture. This is because the creation of this fictional dinosaur-like creature is a symbol of a destruction that was so terrifying that it had forced Imperial Japan to issue their surrender in only six days after and ultimately ended World War II. As a result, Godzilla initial creation is a symbol of a historical event that took place in Japan during World War
