Godwin's 'Cold Equations'

Decent Essays
The simplest decisions could change the way you felt about a particular person. During the book Cold Equations Barton faces an ultimatum. Barton was to kill the stowaway. This indicating the actual issue of the story, it was indeed the ultimatum he faced, but not just any. The stowaway was a girl. She was characterized with one single motive in her drive. Her integrity was strong, even though she was probably so nervous she was shaking in her own skin. Author Godwin took a wicked turn when he characterized Marilyn as young, innocent, naive.
First off, Godwin pertained Marilyn as so young leading into the story. Marilyn being only 18 years of age when found among board. For the conflict I believe Godwin’s idea on using her age against Barton
