I didn 't know what I wanted to do when I was in college, but my mom died from breast cancer when I was five years old. She had clogged arteries that boosted me to go to college to become a surgical doctor for hearts. She is saying no matter how difficult the situation is, she will never give up. As I move on to college, no matter how hard my classes are , no matter how many tests I have to take, I will never give up. If I let failure take over my life, I will never get over the bumps that are going to be there. I have to be able to take that big leap. My parents also said, "you can do anything you put your mind to" and each and everyday I take that quote with me. No matter how hard it is, I will get past the task. The steps to college was like deep potholes in the road: it 's smooth until I come and face the obstacles in my life . I have my sticky notes that I look at each and every day "Never give up"! That will help to remind me that life is to short and you have to finish what you start ,nothing is handed to you and having my mom pass away she motivates me even more to know how proud she would be if she saw me graduate college with my PHD. My dad is my right hand man and he is always by my side to the road to success. And I 'm glad to have a parent like that. I will only be doing 2 years at Minneapolis Community and Technical college to get my generals and then I will be moving to San Diego California to attend University to finish my masters in becoming a surgical doctor. Hopefully my road to success will still be as good as I planed it to be, to have that drive to keep me moving on. All the things in the world can go wrong and If change my mind set to overcome the fear of failure I will be successful in college and after that as

Over 15 years ago, Robert Nash (2011) developed a new academic writing style called Scholarly Personal Narrative (SPN). Nash (2011) wanted SPN to become, “a respectable research genre in higher education, particularly in the professional schools” (p. 4), so he wrote his first book, Liberating Scholarly Writing: The Power of Personal Narrative (2004).…
