Because police officers are in a position of power, for years in generations, we idolized the uniform, we looked at the uniform and not the person. We’ve created a toxic environment and relationship has been created. If human nature is to do what is in one’s best interest, and people in a position of power go unsupervised, that’s a very lethal combination. Human nature, at its core, is survival of the fittest, which causes a great divide among people in every aspect of life. We’re no longer a society where people get the job because they’ve got the best skill set or they are the most deserving, they often simply get the job based on who they know and how they play the game.
