One of her mystical experiences was when she fell into ecstasy on the feast of All Saints and didn’t eat till three weeks later, on the feast day of Saint Cecelia. At times, blood poured freely from her sides and mouth, as if she had been pierced by the arms of Our Lord’s cross. One time, she was lifted four feet above the ground in front of many witnesses while meditating on the Holy Spirit. Saint Flora was a prophetess, another power granted to her by God, and had extensive knowledge of things which she couldn’t possibly know. Another miracle was when Saint Flora was smuggling gifts to the poor and was caught, but when she opened her cloak the gifts had turned into purple and red flowers. Another time, an angel appeared to Saint Flora and brought her host from a church that was more than eight miles away.
Because Saint Flora was a wise and humble woman who was dedicated greatly to God, she was often looked upon for advice. Saint Flora of Beaulieu died in the year 1347 in Paris, France. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any information relating to her date of canonization or beatification, but her feast day is on October 5.
