The Goddess Demeter

Winter,Summer,Spring,Fall it all happens because of me. I am Demeter, but some call me Mother Nature. I am the Goddess of agriculture. I have six siblings, Hestia,Hera, Hades, Zeus, Poseidon, and Chiron. I am the reason that the crops grow,I am in authority over the sacred law, and the cycle of life and death . There are festivals held in my name, a main one is called Thesmophoria. There are many names that I am called by, Demeter, Sito,
Thesmophoros, and Mother Earth. My parents are Cronus and Rhea.When my siblings and I were first born, our father ate us so that we would not overthrow him like he did to his father. But my brother Zeus was saved by our mom and managed to save us too. I

One day,my daughter, Persephone was taking a walk through the fields when Hades suddenly spotted her. He saw her beauty and took her as a prisoner to the Underworld, where he made her his queen. She was miserable, and refused to eat. When word got to me that she was missing I went to her father Zeus, lord of the sky, and begged him to bring her back to me. He finally agreed to send Hermes to retrieve her. When Hermes arrived in the Underworld he was able to convince Hades to let my daughter walk free, but Hades had a plan. He was going to give her food from the Underworld, and if you eat while in the Underworld then you have to stay there forever. So because my daughter was starving and unaware of the rule, she happily accepted the food and began to eat. But when Hermes saw this he immediately put a stop to it,but it was too late, she had already eaten one-third of the pomegranate. So a deal was made that for one-third of the year Persephone would be in the Underworld while the other two-thirds would be spent with me. During these four months she is gone,and I am very lonely and depressed,I would like mankind to feel this way also. So while my daughter is away, I cause a terrible, dark time that you know as winter, so that mankind can feel the same way I
