God Of Carnage Monologue

The play God of Carnage is about two set of parents meeting together to discuss their children’s actions. In the beginning of the story you hear about two boys named Bruno and Ferdinand and Ferdinand ends up hitting Bruno with a stick. The injure from the stick hitting in the mouth caused two chip two teeth and spit his lip. The parents are brought together to discuss if Ferdinand understands what he has done to Bruno. Is not all they talk about in this gathering. The parents start talking about the children then it leads onto many other conversation about themselves and nothing to with the children. The parents end up arguing among themselves about Nibbles the hamster, children soldiers, marriage, and children. I am going to talk about how adults in the play act like children in the play. This play talks about marriages. How they can be fragile and at moments of complete intensity can either make the relationship stronger or crumble it. The whole play makes fun of the role of adults. The adults are the children in the play. Annette and Veronique are examples of being childish. If you know that you are coming to vomit go to the bathroom as quickly as you can. If you vomit on the way is much easier to deal with than just sitting there. Veronique should not make fun of people while the people are still in your house, at least wait till they leave. Veronique even gets in a physical fight with her husband while guest are there. Annette taking her husband’s cell phone and putting in vase was not a great move to do in front of guest. The parents are playing the roles that society told them to be. Adults are to be very civil, but that is not always the case because after we are all human. We all have episodes of complete chaos. I think the time and place to have the out bursts were chosen
