Creation And Deception Essay

Improved Essays
In the beginning was Creation and then the Fall. Man, woman and all living things. Then there was deception and sin. We are all born free of sin. Sin is a part of life, as is the choice to make a sound and righteous decision. God has given us all these things to survive and be one with him in a relationship that is fulfilling like no other relationship. It is up to us as humans to make the decisions and work toward that acknowledgement from God, well done.
Genesis two tells us in detail how God formed man from the dust and his very own breath. He then created woman from the man’s rib. The rib is from the man’s side; I feel this is a significant factor. God made woman to be a man’s partner and companion.

I would say Yes. I am no better than she was. I would not have any more knowledge or enough wisdom to have been able to know that the serpent was a liar. There is no way for me to have better knowledge then, just because I know the story now. I would not have known the punishment that would come down from God due to disobeying his orders. No I would have made the same decision as Eve. That is how it was supposed to be and that is how it was. God knows all and the ruler of all. He gives us the mind now to make the decision between right and wrong. Do we always make the right decisions? I know I don’t and I pay for those wrong decisions.
My life is not anything the way I thought it would be when I graduated from high school 22 years ago. It is not the best life due to the decisions I made as a young adult. I have accepted that; however, my life is not the worst it could be. I have two beautiful children, I have a job that compensates well enough that I can provide for them and myself. I am hopeful to one day have a God fearing husband. I may not have what I expected in the order that I planned, but I am a believer and know that God will supply what I need and what he wants me to

The question can be how to react to such an instance when the reality of the situation comes to life. Especially once it is realized that while one can blame the action on another, the true deception took place within the mind of the victim. Humans tend to create scenarios and formulate lies about the situation or relationship at hand based on the actions and words of those around them.…

The nature that humans have from the Christian wordview can best be described as Imago Dei which means the image of God. This is because the creation narrative that is found in the book of Genesis shows that both male and female were created in the image of God and thus were the pinnacle of his creation. The nature of humans also played a role when it came to the purpose mankind had since their purpose was to have God at the center of their lives and worship him. Originally this is what happened during the fellowship in the garden since they had a perfect relationship with God and were able to interact with him personally. However, this all changed during the fall of humanity since it had a widespread impact on the humans.…

Introduction and Background for Women in OT Times “The Bible speaks about women in many different ways, sometimes explicitly, but more usually indirectly.” Men are usually the main characters in the Bible though sometimes women are mentioned it is usually indirectly. This is a prime example of sin because Eve is putting her own judgement and reasoning above God’s which is a renunciation that God is the creator and all-knowing. This strains the relationship between the first humans and God showing how sin can affect relationships; however, in the same way it shows us how God acts towards us and about the divine-human relationship. God wants to save us and guide us towards telos and becoming a better person. Sometimes humans make mistakes, but with Genesis 1 -11 we see that because the book’s purpose is showing us God’s salvation history we know God still wants to save us. God acts lovingly by giving Adam and Eve everything they need, they the humans disobey, and God punishes them by banishing them from the Garden, then God acts mercifully towards the humans forgiving them for their sins.…

The book of Genesis and the poem Enuma Elish both describe the story of creation, in their own ways. Initially we can see that there are very different beliefs of how creation came to be throughout the stories, but there are some underlying concepts that are the same. The relationship between Deity and humanity in Genesis 1 and 2 is one that resembles a father and son, where as in the Enuma Elish humanity is merely a tool for the gods the handle their menial work. The book of Genesis gives the account to how the world was formed and the different promises God gives to his people.…
