Working your way up to the top is the best way to achieve what your goal is- helping others. Getting good grades in medical school and college makes all the difference and is just as important. One of the biggest goals as a pediatrician is to keep the child healthy. As your job consists of treating the tiny humans, the ultimate goal is to keep the child healthy after you have treated them, or even if they have not been extremely sick (“Goals of a Pediatrician.”). Preventing diseases is extremely important to the child’s health and their parents. Pediatricians do so by providing their patient with vaccinations against common diseases. According to “Goals of a Pediatrician”, another favorable goal would be easing the patients and their parents worries. This is important so the patient puts their trust in you, and they feel more comfortable with their illness, and are informed every step of the way. Working with children is one of my strong suits and I really enjoy it. Having the ability to cure children with diseases that are clearly harmful and unwanted would be truly amazing. The toughest and most unbearable part about this job would be watching the kids, that you couldn’t save, having their life end such a young age. Being able to come home from my job and say “I saved a life today.” would be the greatest feeling, knowing you just made someone’s life better. Learning more about the career has made me more interested in pursuing it, and being able to save lives would be the most rewarding thing about this career
