The anticipation as the cheerleaders wait for the announcer to call them to approach the mat. The cheerleaders are very tense as the butterflies burst in their stomachs. The berserk cheer moms hoot and holler for their daughters as they proceed to the floor. Many girls are pondering the question of how in the world they made it. As I pursue my goal of making it to states, I am blessed with my prime team; however I am obligated to conquer the adversities to achieve this mission for my team and I. My goal is to make it to states for competitive cheer this year. Although it may be hard competing against teams that score more points than us, if we all work as a team with one goal in mind we can make it. Everyone has to have the same goal and mindset. Also everyone has to give 110% at practices and regionals. We all have this one goal that is possible if we all want it bad enough. It will take determination, devotion, and hard work. This one goal can change Parkway history. …show more content…
Some Athenas are my team, my coach, and my parents. Without my team we would not be this far into the competition season working and striving for greatness. Without my coach we couldn't even be able to compete and have theses rounds worthy of states. We wouldn't have someone to look up to and to counsel us in this season. Last but not least, my parents. My parents pick me up from practice every day and drive me to competitions. They pay for all my essentials for cheer and go above and beyond sometimes. They are always there for me at my competitions and cheer for me nonstop. They're the reason I am able to cheer and do what I'm extremely fond

For male High School athletes, who have a desire to continue being a part of a team sport, cheerleading would be a great choice for them. One great incentive to being a part of the Spirit Squad is that it does offer a scholarship that will help pay your college tuition. My movie shows the struggle of pushing cheerleading to become recognized as a sport, and lists the reasons of why it should be. As a cheerleader, many times, I have had to have this argument with other athletes in order to prove the hard work, passion, and dedication that is required of this sport. This is why I chose to make it into a movie, so that I could persuade others into agreeing with me. For many years, we cheerleaders have found ourselves in constant disputes with our peers and NCAA, discussing whether cheerleading should be considered an official sport or not.…

I was disappointed when we did not, but I did not let it stop me from trying.…
