Goals For ATT

Introduction
When I determined my desired end-goal for my career with AT&T, my thoughts led me to making a listing of tasks to complete in order to reach my goals. The most crucial and pivotal item on this list was to return to school once I had organized my schedule to allow time to focus. One of the determining factors when selecting an employee for a promotion is whether or not they are furthering their education or already possess a degree in business, and it is my aim not to cause someone to have to make a difficult decision regarding my employment with the company.

Every piece of this process is crucial when writing for a class that I am taking, and it is important that I pay close attention when learning the proper form in which to compose my writing and citations. If I am not following this precise course of action when writing for a scholastic purpose, then my ideas or desired effect on the reader will be for naught and the message will be lost in translation. Likewise, if I am not properly executing when preparing for advancement, during the application process and interview presentation, then my efforts will result in failure. In my current role, it is imperative that I am properly research and analyze information in this same manner before conveying my findings with my superiors and employees. Neglecting to do so can result in loss of focus from my employees or reprimand for …show more content…
If I were to neglect to augment my critical-thinking, then I would not be committing to due diligence in advancing my educational and career-oriented goals. In order to enhance my skill, I will start by taking opportunities one at a time and dedicating my mind to that analyzing that particular issue. One of my colleagues once advised me to focus on mentoring one employee at a time as opposed to taking on groups at a time as this method has historically proven to be more effective for both the mentor and the mentee. There is something to be said of one who can multi-task, but this is an area that will benefit from special attention. Secondly, I intend on removing myself from the concept which I am internalizing. When one is able to consider an outsider’s perspective, they gain insight and are able to more productively analyze the topic at hand. In conjunction, I believe I will jumpstart the process of improving my critical-thinking
