HIS Analysis
In this paper we will discover how the principle of goal setting applies to HIS
Departments and how the principle of job enrichment affects the Dept. Also we will
conclude on what kind of impact this has in this department overall.
The principles are defined in the articles as being "At the department level, work is
the overall effort to produce the desired results. Work reflects all of a department's goals.

Department level employees have contribute to the overall effort to produce the
desired result in doing so, the tasks must be outlined and the sum of the total of all depts
are equivalent to all of the output for the department work. This principle that the HIS
Dept uses keep well maintained free flow and responsibility evident in all levels.
But how are the principles of job enrichment applied in this case? Management can
motivate self-driven employees by assigning them additional responsibility normally
employees aspire to become more responsible and take on additional task. In this case
they embrace this challenge and according to the article, "The purpose of these actions
is to offset the monotony of routine tasks in bureaucratic or batch environments.
Offsetting monotony is often thought to motivate employees. However, rather than
monotony, employees most often mention work overload as a stressor. Job enlargement
and enrichment both add tasks. Employees may view these actions as adding to their
stress rather than reducing it. Thus, the purpose of these actions may not match
