Research has revealed that goal setting is essential since it can improve performance of personalities. Goal setting improves self-discipline, tenacity, and competence and it is an essential tool to aid students to get the most out of their education. Having personal goals gives room for effective time management and living purposeful life. The fact that I am able to pinpoint my educational goals in life assures me that I am on the right tract, since failing to plan is equal to planning to fail. When setting goals, I always ensure that they are SMART. This is an acronym that stands for a specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time bound goals. It saddens me when other people are unhappy. I love participating in community-based activities that improve the lives of others. Currently, I regularly go to activities that promote environmental conservancy like collection of litter. Additionally, I go to visit homes of the elderly and orphanages to take care of the needy. Such activities give me great satisfaction. I have learnt a ration on caring for other people’s welfare and it has helped me learn to cooperate with others. The world is in need of people who care for others. Even in the workplace, people have and encounter various challenges and they would wish people to listen to them. Helping others is an effective way to meet new people. The universe has a large population and most people believe that the people we meet have a role in our lives. Interacting with new people creates an avenue to discover and learn different things from different people. I have learnt a ration so far from the people I have interacted with. I have been able to create significant interactions with people that can benefit me in future to achieve my career goals. Having a wide network of people is important in my career as well because I am able to learn how to accommodate people from diverse cultures and background. It is crucial that people desire to acquire new skills and knowledge in order to improve self -development. Acquiring new skills and knowledge and the ability to apply them is paramount to make the world a better place. The world needs people who seek to be the best in what they do. Therefore, it is important for people to be passionate about what they do. Additionally, it satisfactory to help other people. The world will become a better place if people seek to help those who are in need. When we are able to cooperate well with others, it increases productivity.
