The goal of life review is to allow the older adult to review his or her journey through life with the purpose of analyzing, finding meaning, and hopefully accomplishing an overall sense of emotional and spiritual fulfillment that allows him or her to be in peace, thus, accept the inevitable end without fear (Hearn et al., 2011). Some of the benefits include reevaluation of previous experiences with the purpose of identifying and coping with unresolved issues, thus, forgiving self and others for wrong doings, letting go of anger and anxiety issues, alternatively, achieving a sense of meaning, belonging, acceptance, thus, consequently wisdom (Butler, n.d).
