The novel Go Set A Watchman takes place in pre Civil Rights movement and follows a young girl who goes throughout the story searching for answers to why dad views the world the way he does. She also is in search for her own views on where she was born and raised. The young girl Jean Louise Finch travels from New York to Alabama to see her family. She then has to deal with local issues that bring her closer to her aunt Alexandria, her uncle Jack, and her father Atticus. aside from her getting closer to her family she then regains closeness to an old friend and boyfriend Hank Clinton.
