No book can ever top off the experiences I had with Go Dogs Go, not only was it the rhymes and phrases you wrote, the excitement I had reading your book mattered most to me, and how I imagine myself in the book. Reading your young, child book simply sparked my interest in reading at a young age. The significant message behind the book, the dogs traveling, and enjoying life, naturally made my life much easier. Sitting in the Raleigh, North Carolina airport, waiting for my family's bags to be checked and boarded onto the plane, my unusually calm three year old rests on my lap, as we sit together counting down the minutes until my family must board the plane. As my nephew gets impatient, I grab your book out of his book bag, and began to read. Once again, I am not surprised when your effortless words calm my nerves, and fear leaving my brother and his kids. As I read the last phrase, on the last page, I look nervously at my silent nephew. “Again!” he says! I told as I am told and start to read the book one more time. What I thought once more, actually turned out to be numerous again’s! After the fifth time I repeat the book, I memorize a new page, every passing minute, and Ethan relaxes a little more. I read to him steadily, and serene just as my mother did. At that minute reading your book, the world stops, and I remember how much childhood flies bye. Cherishing every second I have with my nephew, reading, and taking on the journey with the dogs, as they pass
