It is said that the one who utilizes those principles are sure to never taste death. They are reason, thinking, insight, speculation, and reflection. Just like in Gnosticism, Manicheanism has a focal point redeemer. Seth is this redeemer who survives as the same name in almost all religions. He is also redeemed as Seth-el, who is one of the names of God. There are other names of redeemers in maniche religion, but Seth seems to be the most important one. Mani wanted his religion to be the “religion or light”??? because Mani grew up in Gnosticism and he knew the importance of light (knowledge).
