GMOs (genetically modified organisms) have been a subject of controversy for years. GMOs are organisms that has had its genetic code altered. This process can introduce new genes or remove them. GMOS could help solve world hunger by producing heartier, easier to grow plants. GMOs could also improve the welfare of farmed goods. Despite other opinions, GMOs should be used in the production of food production.

GMOs would improve the lives of people all over the world, there is no goetting around it. For example, GMOs could solve world hunger and introduce stable nutrition by producing more tolerant crops. This is already taking place in Uganda, where farmers using the genetically modified crop “bazooka” are seeing better results than those who use regular corn. Furthermore, the article goes on ti say that the crop is saving Ms. Nansamba family from starvation. If advances continue to be made in the area, crops could be easier to grow in the harshest environments, giving food to those who do not having. Additionally, GMOs could improve the welfare of farmed goods. One example of this is the Chinese scientists who have been genetically engineering low-fat pigs. This bout of genetic engineering involves inserting a gene not found in pigs, taken from a mouse, into pig embryos to create piglets that can better regulate their body temperature.
