What are GMOs? Throughout the years, agriculture has been produced tremendously with the help of technology and research. All sorts of food were being created in mass proportions, but as a result, it left people wondering how exactly was their food being created? In recent history, the world population has grown immensely large and with the help of GMOs, enough food is able to be grown for everyone to eat. GMOs, also known as genetically modified organisms, are implemented into foods which help it grow quickly. While many people believe GMOs are beneficial, there are others who believe it is unethical to change what nature has given us. Likewise, people argue that GMOs change nothing and is actually harming us in numerous ways. Do GMOs actually create a difference in people’s lives? To begin with, one argument people make is that GMOs are harming them rather than making their lives better. According to a research done by a French scientist, it states, “The …show more content…
First of all, GMOs are causing harm to our bodies. One company such as Monsanto supposedly has done research showing that GMOs cause no harm, but this was eventually proven to be inaccurate. Similarly, people believe foods containing GMOs should be labeled for public information. People should be able to have the choice of whether or not they should eat something that was grown with the use of GMOs. Lastly, the statement saying food grew quicker and was healthier with the help of GMOs has been proven to be imprecise. After one’s reading of the topic of GMOs, he or she may begin to wonder what foods contain GMOs. The idea of all these chemicals going into foods that people eat every day can make people shocked and fearful. If the world continues to let these delicious, lovely foods keep getting genetically modified, that natural feeling of sensation and nourishment will not be there in the future for people to
