Over the years the American diet has adopted genetically modified ingredients for good and for bad. Although genetically modified ingredients give producers a faster turn out rate for the product, the cost to American consumers could cause far more complications in the future. Not only do genetically modified ingredients provoke allergic reactions, gene transfer, and outcrossing, but it also causes various other damages to the environment. Genetically modified ingredients not only hurt the human body, but hurt the environment and animals that are being injected with hormones and pesticides.
