The GMC Sierra is a highly suitable truck for those who enjoy participating in a multitude of activities. Constructed in the United States, this American dream car does and has everything nearly everyone looks for in a vehicle. Its safety features, comfortable interior, and outstanding performance are characteristics this car contains that consumers will not only approve of, but appreciate as well. Safety is one of the first traits a person will look for in a vehicle. Many people who are looking into purchasing a new car have families. Whether it be small children or grown teens, parents want to own the type of car that will prove to be a non-hazardous and safe vehicle. Earlier versions of the GMC Sierra began changing their models in order to attract a specific type of consumer- those who participate in outdoor, recrational activities. In the 2002 version of the GMC Sierra Denali, GMC decided to make some effective changes to the model of this version. Therefore, it came up with a new way to construct the truck (Reaser p.88). Realizing the truck would be used for towing and hitching objects, such as trailers, jetskis, and boats, it was designed to make the rear tires move at the same time the front tires moved, which ultimately changed the way driving feels, and furthermore allows the steering to be easier and smoother. With this new style, tasks like switching lanes and turning would be easier for the driver when a heavy trailor is hooked to the back of it. Many consumers liked this new addition to the car because, according to them, it takes away the “lurch” feeling that was constanly felt before (Reaser p.88).
