Sins Essay: There Is The Worst Of The Seven Deadly Sins

Mark Twain once said,”There is a charm about the forbidden that makes it unspeakably desirable”. Although some say all sins are equal to each other.They are not.The seven Deadly Sins consist of wrath, envy, pride, lust, greed, gluttony, and lastly sloth. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. What we do is our action and whatever our action is there comes a result. Whether it may be good or bad. I believe Sloth is the greatest sin of them all. Sloth is what I hate about myself. It is a sin and by far the worst of the seven deadly sins. My ambitions keep me driven but my slothfulness keeps me from doing. This is where it may become confusing. The desirable is laziness and the forbidden is wanting what is not done. For example, You may have an assignment due next week on Tuesday but instead of plowing straight into it. You wanted it done but it never became done because the effort was not put into it. Pride is the state of holding one’s self or another in high esteem. Pride grows and grows and eventually becomes something different all together. “There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. ‘Good pride’ represents our dignity and self-respect.’Bad pride’ is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance”. The good pride is the one that is rewarded with a good SAT score. If it were I, I would sure be spreading the news of my score, best believe I would be prideful! Although in contrast bad pride makes one act they’re above another.In which they are no different from the neighboring person.Pride is like a disease. It spreads itself until it is cured.
